GoGo

GoGo is the Russian searching system, autonomous project of company Mail.ru, that was worked out start on spaces of the internet in June, 2007. Domen of gogo.ru was purchased by a company Mail.ru yet at the beginning of 2000, but directly development of project was begun with 2006 under the direction of Mikhail Kostin, that is also known, as a creator of the searching system Aport.

Investments of Mail.ru in a project made the about 700 thousand dollars of the USA.

The results of delivery of search engine differ from the integrated system of search on the base of searching machine of Yandex. From data of the specialized monitoring companies, quality of searching delivery of the system is at good enough level.

To the distinctive features of search engine of GoGo it is possible to take the Russian-language search on видеороликам, and also on the base of these catalogues, subdivisions and social networks of Mail.ru. Also developers envisaged possibility of thematic selection of results of text search. Delivery can be limited to the informative, commercial and user (forums and blogs) sources.

To February, 2008 about 3 milliards of documents, 180 million images, 3 million video, were counted in the base of GoGo.

On the exhibition of SofTool - 2007 GoGo got the first place on a competition "Product of year" in a nomination the "Internet of technology".

The searching rendering-engine of GoGo was also adapted for a search on the Russian WAP web-sites and became basis for service Mobile GoGo. In the moment of start of August, 20, 2007 service allowed to search information for 55 thousand WAP of resources.

GoGo gives to web-masters possibility of drawing on the results of search of the system on own resources by means of XML. For this purpose it is necessary in a corresponding division to register IP- address and e - mail, and also to write a formula that will call to the server. In a day it is settled to generate to 10 thousand queries. Besides a text search the results of search are given on pictures, video and on separate web-sites.

A project GoGo is perspective enough and presently dynamically develops on the internet space of Russia and countries of former Soviet Union.
